Claw Token

The final evolution of aqua rewards tokens. Receive claw tokens in direct proportion to your votes for Claw token, for as long as your vote last. Each 1000 Aqua votes for the XLM/CLAW pair will result in a distribution of 1 CLAW token. Distributions are adjusted every hour -- those who retract their votes will have their CLAW tokens clawed back.

EXPLAINATION

What CLAW token does

CLAW token lets you earn AQUA with AQUA. Simply use your AQUA to vote for CLAW/XLM, and you will receive CLAW tokens. Deposit these CLAW tokens (as well as a very small amount of XLM) in the CLAW/XLM liquidity pool to earn AQUA rewards each hour. That's all there is!

In the early days of Stellar, there was inflation. It was intended to support projects that would be useful to the ecosystem at large. Unfortunately, most people simply directed their inflation votes at pools that would redistribute the XLM to voters. This was completely pointless.

AQUA suffers from the same problem currently with rewards tokens. Though many rewards tokens have complicated models to obfuscate this fact, CLAW token makes clear why rewards tokens are analogous to inflation, and why rewards tokens are bad for the AQUA ecosystem.

As is conventional for rewards tokens, a portion of the tokens will be sent to the developer, me, for development. This will be 5% of the CLAW tokens distributed to voters.

The only future development planned for CLAW is to fix any bugs that emerge in the distribution program. The turret.expert domains will soon be updated with utilities for interacting with turrets, but this is independent of CLAW token.

Rug-pull Proof

CLAW tokens don't derive value from their price in XLM, but from their ability to be used in the CLAW/XLM LP. It is futile to buy CLAW, since it will be clawed back from non-voters.

Impermanent Loss Proof

Impermanent loss is negligable with CLAW, since CLAW is regularly re-distributed to voters every hour. Any CLAW lost in any way will be quickly replaced.

Transparent

Many AQUA rewards tokens have confusing explainations to justify their utility. CLAW token's utility is very clear: it's only purpose is for getting AQUA rewards.

Constant issuance

1000 AQUA votes = 1 CLAW. A simple, constant rate that makes it easy to predict how much CLAW token you'll receive.

Final Evolution

The ultimate destination of rewards tokens. Simple system, with a clear purpose. Rewards are directly given in AQUA via participation in the LP.

Reinvesting the AQUA rewards you get results in more CLAW tokens being issued to you, which results in more AQUA rewards!
